Vetus – Flor de Vetus Verdejo Rueda – 2019

Vetus winery was established in 2003, it is located in the Toro wine region in the north of Spain, it manages three different vineyards between the Toro area and the nearby Rueda. Tempranillo and Verdejo are the grapes cultivated by the estate on plateaus as high as 900 meters enjoying a strong temperature range between day and night, giving wines structure and freshness despite the arid sandy soils. The goal of the winery is to produce wines which fully reflect their terroir, here yields are very low and the utmost care is taken in the vineyards.
Flor de Vetus is produced with only Verdejo grape in the region of Rueda, a historical area for white wine. For this wine are used vineyards of almost 30 years old planted between 800 and 900 meters of altitude with soils rich in sand giving proper results of freshness and high acidity. It is aged in steel tanks and in bottle, it has a good structure as well as great sapidity and freshness.
