Paitin – Barbaresco Serraboella Sorì Paitin – 2013

The Barbaresco Sorì Paitin, comes from the best exposed part of the Serraboella vineyard, with an average planting age of 50 years. About 8,000 bottles are produced. The wine is aged for almost 2 years in large wooden barrels, plus a small year in the bottle.
This is not the classic Barbaresco, it has enormous potential, it is from the best over the years! Very perfumed on the nose, but with vertical tannins in the mouth.

Description

When one speaks of Paitin, one cannot help but associate this name with Barbaresco.
One of the wineries with the most history, handed down for two centuries and owner of the Serraboella vineyard since 1800, where the winery headquarters still reside. This area is particularly suited for the production of nebbiolo for Barbaresco, precisely because it enjoys an unusual microclimate, that is, soils rich in layers of blue limestone beyond the sands, giving the wines an important and atypical structure and longevity. The approach in the vineyard is minimalist intervening only with the use of copper and sulfur, indeed since 2015 the winery has focused on an organic approach. In the winery, on the other hand, the style is purely traditional, with long aging in large barrels, respecting the natural timing of each wine. Classic, authentic, territorial wines, where you can feel the real history and Langa. Wines that personally drive me crazy, for their longevity, austerity, class and sensuality.
