Olek Bondonio – Barbaresco Roncagliette – 2020

The Barbaresco Roncagliette comes from the vineyard of the same name, one of the most quoted and prestigious in terms of position and clayey soils. In fact, in this cru, Gaja was the one who had seen it coming! The wine in this case carries out a fermentation on the skins for 30 days and an aging in medium-large oak barrels for 20 months. A spicy Barbaresco with notes of ripe fruit and in the mouth has a nice texture and persistence. Elegant and structured are the key words for this wine. Sought after

Description

Olek Bondonio founded his winery in 2005 in Barbaresco in the Berchialla farmhouse, already owned by his family for 200 years. After years of studies and work travels outside Italy, he decided to roll up his sleeves and make the most of the prestigious Langa territory in order to produce artisanal wines, but above all traditional ones. Thanks to his experiences he found his own style, that is to say to intervene as little as possible in the vineyard without the use of chemicals and also in the cellar using only indigenous yeasts, long fermentations, no filtrations and long aging.
He produces the typical Piedmontese wines from Dolcetto, Grignolino, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Barbaresco in very small quantities, but the importance for him is that they are territorial wines without frills.
