The most atypical version as a wine in Piedmont, a rosé made from the region’s most important red grape, Nebbiolo. We are in the northern part at the foot of Monte Rosa in the village of Gattinara where the wine of the same name is produced, one of the other two DOCGs of this grape outside the Langhe. An effort has been made to enhance the area of origin in the sense of freshness and minerality given by the granitic soils; the vineyards are in different plots where the finest bunches are picked from the young plants. Winemaking is done in steel tanks at low temperature, light pressing and short maceration in contact with the skins for about 12 hours, aging is always done in the same containers for a few months. Wonderful in both color and sensations, fruity and delicate nose with persuasive drinking and pleasant acidity.

This is the most historic winery in Gattinara, founded in 1906 by Luigi Ferretti, it was passed down for generations until in 2018 it was bought by Roberto Conterno owner of the prestigious Giacomo Conterno winery, famous for Barolo Riserva Monfortino, giving the brand a real international boost. Traditions combined with new ideas to make quality wines in an area like the upper Piedmont with soils of volcanic origin and cool-dry climates due to the presence of Monte Rosa, Nebbiolo has been able to adapt giving aromatic, complex and very mineral wines. There are 24 hectares divided into four estate vineyards Molsino, Valferana, Garavoglie and Casacce managed with the utmost respect for the land and low yields in the vineyards, while traditional methods are adopted in the winery along with innovative systems. A magical territory back in the limelight.
