Montevertine – Montevertine 2016

If you like Sangiovese, you can’t miss Montevertine!
We are in Radda in Chianti, 1967 Sergio Manetti decides to found his small winery and with the help of Bruno Bini and the oenologist Giulio Gambelli they produce the first vintage of Montevertine Chianti Classico in 1971 highly appreciated by Veronelli and immediately afterwards at Vinitaly it convinces everyone the greatest connoisseurs.
Sergio then decided to leave the previous job to devote body and soul to the production of wine.
Today the company, in the hands of his son Giorgio, has 18 hectares cultivated organically only with native vines: Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino.
Montevertine is obtained with a blend of all 3 vines from which the best grapes are selected and the wine obtained is then aged for about 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
