Gillardi – Harys – 2016

A decidedly unconventional producer, a Piedmontese with a great passion for the international wine scene, innovation combined with a great love for his terroir this is Giacomino Gillardi. We are in Farigliano where from the early 1980s we began to produce two different sweets, but as Giacomino has always loved risk he decides to plant three different international vines: Syrah, Merlot and Grenache surprising everyone with the excellent quality and expressiveness of the wines. Since 2011 the family has started producing Barolo from a few tiny plots in the municipality of La Morra and Barolo.

Harys, or Syrah written backwards because in the early nineties it was not allowed to indicate this variety on the label, it all started as an experiment and has instead become one of the most important wines of the company. We can define Giacolino as one of the most important Syrah producers in Italy, he has brought a touch of internationality to the Langhe, while believing in the absolute typicality of the territory. A bottle that gives us great emotions, excellent structure and power accompanied by a pleasant elegance. Fantastic!
