Gabriele Scaglione – Langhe Rosso – 2013

Gabriele Scaglione, after years of work in the most famous wineries of the area, about 15 years ago decided to take the road of the independent winemaker. The decision was not easy but thanks to the help of some winemaker friends and above all to his immense passion today the company boasts 12 hectares between Langhe, Monferrato and Roero. All his creations are pure expression of the territory, small quantities for great wines. His philosophy is very simple, very few interventions in the vineyard to obtain clean wines and in the cellar medium or long aging to be able to present the consumer with bottles ready to be drunk without having to wait years! “Everything depends on where you want to go” this is what is written on the label, the thought of the enterprising Gabriele Scaglione, who even in his simplest wines puts great passion and love, this red is the example. It comes from a careful selection of the best grapes of nebbiolo and barbera in the municipality of Castagnito, limestone-clay soil, plants with an average age of 30 years and very low yields per hectare.
