Cadia – Verduno Pelaverga – 2021

A native red grape of Piedmont, one of the smallest DOCs in Italy, Pelaverga has found its perfect habitat in the municipalities of Verduno and Roddi in which to grow and express itself. Description

Cadia summarises the family passion of several generations that have followed one another over the years with the sole intention of transmitting the essence of their land. The winery is located in the commune of Roddi, one of the communes of Barolo, at the top of the hill “Cadia” from which it takes its name, which thanks to its south-eastern exposure is optimal for the quality of the grapes. In 12 hectares of vineyards distributed over several parcels of land in the area, in which the Monvigliero vineyard stands out, local grapes such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Pelaverga are grown, among which there are also several hazelnut groves of their own. Since their birth in 1913 they have relied on tradition in their winemaking vision, affirmed by the current owner Bruno in 1996 until today where each of their wines is the result of strength and constant commitment.
