Alberto Oggero – Roero DOCG – 2020

The Roero comes from the “Le Coste” vineyard located in the municipality of Santo Stefano Roero. With perfect full southern exposure, lean soils rich in sand and 30-year-old vines, the nebbiolo here enjoys an elegance and refinement that it rarely achieves. The wine fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 10 months in tonneaux plus a year in bottle. One of the most representative Roero for my personal taste, elegance, class, lingering aftertaste, unmistakable aromas, clean. In short, a true Nebbiolo that fully represents the soils of Roero.

Description

Winemaker from another time, but a new generation. Alberto is a young boy in love with his land, the Roero. After studying at the Alba School of Oenology, he took over the vineyards from Nonno Sandro, a fundamental man who passed on to him all his knowledge and passion for this land and wines. His, are real bottles that reflect the sandy, lean soil of the Roero, are sold only when he deems them ready, quietly.
