Vincent Girardin – Puligny-Montrachet Les Vieilles Vignes – 2017

The Vincent Girardin maison is quite recent, it was born in the 1980s in Santenay when Vincent was only 19 and decided to take back the 2 hectares of vineyards owned by the family. The boy’s talent was immediately evident, maximum care and cleanliness in the vineyards and in the wine so as to expand his market around the world, this was made possible thanks to the winemaker Eric Germain, who has always been a consultant for the Maison. The range of wines has expanded over time, buying the grapes in the best Premier and Grand Cru plots of the Cote de Beaune, but always maintaining a very high quality philosophy. From the years 2012 things change, and the Maison was sold to the Compagnia des Vins d’Autrefois, where however the work was always entrusted to the winemaker Erik Germain and Vincent’s stamp and style of work was respected. All its wines stand out for their minerality and elegance.
Puligny Montrachet Vieilles Vignes comes from vineyards of the homonymous municipality with 65-year-old vines, among other things this wine we are offering you is from the 2017 vintage, a great vintage in Burgundy. It is an absolute top wine, great acidity and minerality for this Chardonnay!!
