Valentini – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo – 2006

In the small town Loreto Aprutino, in the province of Pescara, the Valentini family of Spanish origin has lived since 1600. Wine, oil, vinegar and wheat have always been produced in this vast property and from the early 1900s Edoardo Valentini decided to focus on the production of quality wines. Today the company is in the hands of his son Francesco Paolo who defines himself as a true farmer, he likes to make good wine without many frills, the most important work is done in the vineyard where the plants are treated in a maniacal way and in the cellar the wine it always ages in large barrels. The grapes grown are native to the Abruzzo region: Trebbiano and Montepulciano from these two vines are produced three incredible wines only in the best years or in any case only when Francesco Paolo believes they are 100% harmonious!
In Abruzzo, saying red wine is the same as saying Montepulciano! The wines obtained have a propensity for rustic accents with a great expressive capacity, the tannins are dense, soft and not very aggressive. From this fantastic grape the Valentini winery produces a wine that is nothing short of sensational, few bottles are put on the market and only in the best years. What are you waiting for ?!
