Ugo Lequio – Barbaresco Gallina – 2013 – MG

In the heart of the Langhe on the Gallina hill, a vineyard with a vocation for the production of Barbaresco, Ugo Lequio, a true DOC winemaker, makes his wines with passion and authenticity.
The small company owns 6 hectares around the farmhouse for a total annual production of 30,000 bottles.
All his wines are a combination of class, elegance and longevity.
The Barbaresco Gallina, which takes its name from the vineyard of the same name, is made from vines that are about 70 years old, Ugo Lequio is able to give us a harmonious, elegant wine that will surprise us with its silky finish. The 2013 vintage brought us back to the past, when Nebbiolo was harvested in late October, but this delay allowed to reach an excellent concentration of aromas, coloring matter and sugars. In short, a structured and long-lived vintage, we can say without any doubt “classic”!
