Tenuta San Michele – Eteronimo Vino Bianco – 2018

Marco Minnucci young and ambitious after a few years of working experience in the Langa of Barolo by Maestro Roberto Voerzio, decided to pursue his dream of producing wine and so he found the right situation in Costigliole d’Asti, an area halfway between Langa and Monferrato, but famous for the quality of Barbera grapes. The boy began to produce wine in 2010 starting from scratch, but always following the same philosophy of quality of the master Voerzio, few bottles, but high quality. Since 2015, thanks to the meeting with the future partners, he started “Cascina San Michele”. It produces mainly Barbera, Cortese, Nebbiolo, Brachetto and Bonarda. The style of the winery is to be respectful of the environment by marrying organic farming, basic yields, and very low use of sulfur dioxide on the wines.
Eteronimo white wine is produced with Cortese grapes, all located in the municipality of Costigliole, it is fermented on skins for the first 5 days and then refined in steel tanks. It is neither clarified nor filtered. This is a fun wine, slightly out of the box, but technically clean, pleasant, almond and vegetable aromas, but great acidity. Fantastic.
