Tenuta di Trinoro – Rosso Toscana – 2012

We are in Val d’Orcia on the border with Umbria and Lazio, in a corner of Tuscany where Andrea Franchetti, after many years of experience across the board in the Bordeaux area, discovers in Sarteano conditions and gravelly soils similar to those of St. Emilion. Right there, he decides to create Tenuta di Trinoro in the 1980s and to plant the same grape varieties as Bordeaux. Absurd maniacal work in the vineyard, with high plant density and very low yields, minimal approach in the cellar, his wines are unique, full and warm. Great wines.
Of all the wines in the cellar, Tenuta di Trinoro is the absolute maximum expression! Blends of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot from the most beautiful vineyards mixed in different percentages based on the vintage. A true Super Tuscan!
In 2012 you will find a great wine, fresh, subtle, but which expresses its full potential over time. Don’t rush to drink it … the best is yet to come!
