Roberto Voerzio – Barolo Fossati Case Nere Riserva 10 anni – 2007

Roberto Voerzio, icon of avant-garde viticulture in the Langhe. His style is unique, his love for wine and the land have led him to produce great wines. The facts speak for themselves, 8000 plants per hectare, super selection of the bunches, aggressive thinning, 500 grams of grapes per plant (traditionally Piedmontese winemakers collect about 2 kilograms). The work in the vineyards is more than maniacal, its plants are immediately recognized by their cleanliness and order, and the philosophy of using only organic products and manure for the well-being of the vines does not go unnoticed.
He founded his company in the 1980s by buying the best vineyards with the most beautiful exposures, producing limited quantities for each cru with a surprising and unparalleled power and structure.
Brunate, La Serra, Cerequio, Rocche dell’Annunziata and Fossati are the homonymous vineyards in which the various crus are vinified in purity, all located in La Morra and always considered the most prestigious for the quality of the grapes.

Fossati a long southern slope that develops between the municipalities of La Morra and Barolo, here Roberto Voerzio produces a 10-year reserve Barolo with meticulous attention to every detail. A great wine, which with all its power and arrogance gives head to all its range of Barolos. A jewel to taste at least once in a lifetime, especially in older vintages.
