Description

Quintodecimo was born out of the passion of Luigi Moio, who was born and raised among his father’s vineyards in Campania’s Irpinia, an excellent territory for wine production and famous for the Taurasi appellation. After studying in Burgundy, where he delved into the scientific aspects of wine aroma, Luigi returned to Italy with an immense desire to make his own wine in full creative freedom. The winery took shape in 2001 with his wife Laura, and is located in the town of Mirabella Eclano. The philosophy of Quintodecimo ( takes its following name from the ancient Roman settlement located in Mirabella Eclano) follows the principle of respect for the nature of each individual vine according to soil and microclimate, avoiding the use of fertilizers but employing agronomic practices with the aim of producing extremely territorial wines. Even in the winery we find the same thinking, so much so that it was created specifically underground, never to alter the musts, where essential materials fully replace technological ones.
The winery produces a total of 6 wines, divided into three reds made from the Aglianico grape variety produced in different districts and soils and three native whites such as Fiano, Greco di Tufo and Falanghina.
In a nutshell, Quintodecimo’s wines are the result of the boundless passion of Luigi, a true master and scientific connoisseur, where wines and territory are pure balance.
