Poderi Colla – Barolo Bussia Dardi le Rose – 2015

More than 300 years of history for the Colla family, but we are talking about the early 1900s when Pietro Colla wrote history by bringing the champenoise method to Piedmont, then it was the turn of his son Beppe, precursor of the vinification of the great reds of Langa by 1961, he was the soul and creator of Prunotto wines from 1956 to 1990.
Since 1994 Tino (Pietro’s youngest son) together with his son and granddaughter have joined the estates they own and form the Poderi Colla, 4 areas particularly suited for the production of wines, Bricco Bompè in Madonna di Como Alba, Cascina Drago in San Rocco Seno d ‘Elvio di Alba, Tenuta Roncaglia in Barbaresco and Dardi le Rose in Bussia di Monforte d’Alba.
Years of experience to reach full awareness today in the work done in the vineyard and in the cellar, wines that reflect true territoriality, with a well-defined character and unique in their kind.

The Dardi sub-area has always been considered an integral part of Bussia but from a viticultural point of view it has always enjoyed its own identity, classic, mineral wines, sometimes rough.
This is the first vineyard to be vinified separately by Beppe Colla in 1961 and to be indicated on the label.
It has always produced a complex wine, structured with majestic harmony and power. Obviously a great Barolo for aging!
2015, a vintage with slightly milder temperatures that brought us extraordinarily complex, ready and very pleasant wines.
