Description

Domaine Pierre Morey has pretty ancient and charming origins. Morey family is established in the village of Meursault since 1793 and every generation has a deep connection with vine and wine. Talking about the more contemporary history after years as sharecroppers for the famous and qualitative Comte Lafon, Morey family managed to buy some vineyard plots from them, while Pierre works as a consultant for great vignerons such as Domaine Leflaive. Finally in the 70’s, after years of experience, and with very qualitative pieces of vineyard in hand, Pierre saw the birth of his own Domaine. Only 10 hectares of vineyards located in the communes of Pommard, Monthelie, Puligny Montrachet and Meursault where are produced territorial, fine and complex wines among the best premier cru. Pierre’s philosophy has always been avant-garde, in fact he was one of the first ones to focus on organic farming, and then biodynamic since 1997 just to try to eliminate new plant diseases and to preserve the famous Burgundy snail, almost completely disappeared. Traditional wines, considered a point of reference when talking about Burgundy where each terroir is clearly perceived.
