Murgo – Etna Rosso Tenuta San Michele – 2017

The origins of the Murgo winery date back to 1860 but only with the arrival of Emanuele Scammacca, a far-sighted man and Ambassador, did the winery begin to produce high quality wines recognized all over the world.
Today the hectares of property are about 30 divided into three different estates, San Michele. Gelso Bianco and La Francescana, the production focuses on native grapes such as Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Catarratto.
From the selection of the best Nerello Mascalese grapes in the San Michele vineyard, the Murgo company produces this fantastic Etna Rosso in the best vintages. The vineyards are located over 500 meters above sea level on the eastern slopes of the volcano, the soils give a typically mineral note and thanks to the strong thermal excursions we can taste wines of incredible freshness. Murgo is an excellent interpreter of this terroir and also in this wine he has put all his love for his homeland. A must try!
