Michele Chiarlo – Barolo Cerequio – 2006
Michele Chiarlo, more than eighty years of history, for one of the wineries that best represents territoriality precisely because the grapes used for their wines are native, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Cortese and Moscato the 4 pillars of Piedmont viticulture.
The winery was born in Calamandrana but today it has more than 100 hectares scattered throughout the territory. The company philosophy is very simple, quality and respect for the land, the wines are the essence of classicism and even the work done on their simplest wine is maniacal.
Cerequio a mention of absolute prestige that generally expresses a style made of structure and austerity, here Michele Chiarlo can boast of owning 3 hectares from which he produces a balanced, expressive and fabulously complex red wine.
A Barolo for true enthusiasts. 2006, an excellent vintage that gives us wines of great structure and with an excellent balance of all its components. A great bottle to drink now.
