Louis Roederer – Champagne Philippe Starck Brut Nature – 2006

One of the wineries with more history and still in the hands of the same family in the Champagne region. The history of the winery began in 1883 when Louis Roederer inherited the company from his uncle. He was the first to buy the best Grands Crus vineyards when all the other wineries only bought grapes, and he was also the first to understand the importance of working in the vineyard!
The maison is located in Reims and owns 240 hectares divided into the three Champagne areas: Montagna di Reims, Valle della Marne and Cotes des Blancs.
The quality of the wines was so high that they were also exported outside Europe and in 1876 a special private reserve of Champagne was produced at the request of the Tsar of Russia: a crystal bottle was created especially for him and this is how the renowned Champagne was born. Cristal, now famous all over the world. The Champagnes of the Roederer house stand out for their classicism and tradition… in short, they are true aristocratic Champagnes where they have maintained a very high quality standard!
The Brut Nature was born only in 2006 from the project between the Roederer family and the famous designer Philippe Starcker. This last wine lover created a special label for the maison but at the cost of contributing to the creation of a new Champagne, according to his tastes … so a pas dosé wine was created for the first time for the Roederer house! An innovative project, but a great wine produced only in the best vintages and with great freshness and drinkability!
