Giovanni Manzone – Barbera d’Alba Superiore La Marchesa – 2017

Small company founded in 1925 with the purchase of “Ciabot del Preve” in the famous cru Castelletto in Monforte d’Alba, from the beginning the philosophy they follow is to produce quality grapes at the expense of quantity.
Over the years, the Manzone family has managed to acquire important vineyards in Castelletto and Gramolere cultivated according to the principles of healthy and sustainable viticulture, in fact production is limited to 50,000 bottles per year.
What surprised us most about this winery is the passion they put into their work, the love for the land and the desire to defend their origins, all of this can be found in their very traditional wines.
The superior Barbera “La Marchesa” comes from the vineyards of Gramolere in Monforte. It is a wine bomb! It ages for almost two years in medium-large French barrels. It is creamy, round, with overripe fruit on the nose. Fabulous! Very pleasant to drink.
