In the center of the Langhe, specifically in Bussia, a hamlet of Monforte, Cascina Sciulun was born at the end of the 19th century, which has always been owned by the Conterno family that has been involved in the production of wines for years, always following a philosophy centered on the balance between man and nature. Today the company includes 28 hectares located in the best crus for the production of Barolo, love for the land is applied in all phases, from the vineyard to the cellar where the wood deemed suitable is used for each type of grape. Franco Conterno’s wines are distinguished by the great pleasure they are able to express from the very first moment.
Pietrin, a true traditional Barolo whose grapes come from the best crus located in the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba and Novello. The soils are rich in clay, optimal exposure and plants with an average age of 30 years, Cascina Sciulun produces a wine of great expressiveness, complexity and structure.
