Francesco Rinaldi e Figli – Barolo DOCG – 2022
From the various plots located in the municipalities of Barolo, La Morra, and Castiglione Falletto, the winery produces its classic Barolo from a total of 3 hectares of vineyards. The soils in these three municipalities tend to be sandy-clay, giving the Nebbiolo more delicate aromas and soft tannins. The wine underwent traditional vinification in concrete tanks and aged for 30 months in large oak barrels. It is an elegant Barolo, with light herbaceous notes, crisp and fresh tannins, and rich aromas of violets.

Description
There are still a few wineries in the Langhe where time seems to have stood still since the last century, where you can still feel that authenticity and tradition, and where wines are produced with the same humility and passion as always. In my opinion, the Francesco Rinaldi e Figli winery embodies all of this. Founded in 1870 in the historic farmhouse perched atop the Cannubi vineyard, it has always specialized in producing classic Piedmontese red wines such as Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, which are still partially vinified in concrete tanks and aged in enormous oak barrels. The winery manages 11 hectares located among the finest plots in Barolo, such as Cannubi, Brunate, Rocche dell’Annunziata, Vignane, Sarmassa, and Codana.
