Francesco Rinaldi e Figli – Barolo Cannubi Riserva – 2016
The Barolo “Riserva Cannubi” is produced only in the best vintages, the 2016 is the vintage of the century for its class and its great ability to age. The Rinaldi family produces about 1000 bottles, using the ripest bunches from the highest part of the vineyard. The wine is aged for 3 years in large oak casks plus another 3 years in bottle. A Barolo that does not need too many introductions, the Cannubi parcel is one of the best expressions for structure and refinement, giving wines great freshness which allow a longevity of even 50 years. This reserve is a real and great example of how unique and charming Barolo wine can be.

Description
One of those wineries that best represents the territory of Langa, born in 1870, they put on the market the first bottle of Barolo in 1906!
It is fantastic to enter their winery which is located on the famous Cannubi hill and still breathe that ancient scent, here they use only big casks, as Piedmontese tradition requires, fermentations are long and wines are never bottled before August.
They have vineyards in the communes of La Morra, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto where there are very different soils and the winery is able to produce wines which represent the best of the territory.
