Francesco Rinaldi e Figli – Barolo Cannubi – 2016

One of those companies that best represents the Langa area, founded in 1870, marketed the first bottle of Barolo in 1906!
It is fantastic to enter their cellar which is located on the famous Cannubi hill and still breathe that ancient scent, here only large barrels are used, as required by the Piedmontese tradition, the fermentations are long and the wines are never bottled before August.
They own vineyards in the municipalities of La Morra, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto where we find very different soils and the cellar is able to produce wines that best represent the territoriality.
Their Barolo Cannubi is a super old school wine. It comes from the cru of the same name, the most renowned in the whole Barolo area, so much so that it was already mentioned on the label in the 1700s. Fermentation in steel and aging in large oak barrels for this fine wine. It is a classy wine, with an above average aging capacity especially in this 2016 vintage, the best in recent times! This is one of the rare 3 liters sold by the Rinaldi winery !!
