Fogliati – Langhe Nebbiolo – 2018 – MG

The Fogliati family has always had vineyards in the Bussia area of Monforte d’Alba, but since the 1950s they have been rented out to other wineries in the Barolo area and no longer worked personally. It was only in 2010 that the two grandsons decided to take back the management of the land and produce Barolo and Nebbiolo under the family name. 75 years old plants, careful care in the work in the vineyard and very low yields
This Langhe Doc Nebbiolo 2018, in its first year of production, is made from grapes from a small vineyard of 0.5 hectares within the mention Pugnane, in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto; the vineyard, raised at an altitude of about 250m on marly-sandy soils rich in limestone, enjoys an eastern exposure; in the cellar, after vinification in steel, this wine ages for about nine months in 25hl barrels. A red wine with character, good structure and long persistence.

Productive Notes: Vinification in steel tanks. The wine ages for 9 months in 25 hl casks and then ages in bottle before being released on the market.
