Chiara Boschis – Barolo Mosconi – 2015
Historic Barolo winery, founded in 1890 by Luigi Pira, where it played a fundamental role in the growth of the company.Super traditionalist to the point that he fought mechanization by continuing to press with his feet.
Since 1980 the company has been run by Chiara Boschis, one of the first women producing Barolo, one of the members of the Barolo Boys, has brought a breath of renewal to the cellar with the introduction of small woods and vinifying the grapes from the individual crus separately , to better enhance its individual organoleptic characteristics.
The philosophy has remained unchanged over the years or maximum respect for work in the vineyard until organic certification is obtained.
Production is very limited, around 40,000 bottles.
Mosconi is the oldest vineyard, rich in clayey limestone marl, which gives the wine structure and aging potential.
The wine ages 24 months in small French oak barrels and then 1 year in bottle.
A fabulously deep, austere and elegant wine.
