Cesare Bussolo – Barolo Fossati – 2014

Cesare Bussolo, a young producer, after graduating from the Alba Enological School begins his journey under the protective wing of the great Roberto Voerzio, where he still works today.
He follows the same philosophy of his teacher, maximum care in the vineyard and absolute respect for the environment, very low yields, more than 8000 plants per hectare and little intervention in the vineyard.
In 2013, from a vineyard with extraordinary potential, he produces his first Barbera Santa Lucia … but over the years he finally fulfills his dream of producing Barolo! From the 2014 vintage it comes out for the first time with Barolo in the first category vineyard Fossati in the municipality of La Morra. Obviously, the work is always of high quality, following the style of the master Roberto Voerzio, harvesting less than 1 kilo of grapes per plant. Aging for this wine is 24 months in barrique and tonneaux, plus two years in the bottle. Only 1400 bottles produced. A true masterpiece of wine! One of the most interesting discoveries of the Langa.
In 2014 there are more balsamic and fruity notes on the nose, with a great freshness in the mouth given by this slightly fresher vintage.
