Cascina Gavetta – Langhe Nebbiolo – 2017

Cascina Gavetta is a small company in the municipality of Novello where Silvio Cogno and his family work the vineyard again as it once was, where time seems to have stopped and nature is the master.
Winery that represents the dream of bottling what the Cogno della “Gavetta” family has handed down for centuries: the art of working the land and preserving its cultural heritage.
The work in the vineyard is meticulous, in the cellar the fermentations are carried out in steel containers and for the most important wines the aging takes place in oak barrels. In the Langhe Nebbiolo, Cascina Gavetta decides to best enhance this fantastic grape without affecting its purity, the grapes come from vineyards located in the municipality of Novello in exposures suitable for Barolo, the plants are simply younger. The wine obtained is elegant, precise and balanced, the drink is smooth and very pleasant. A typical Piedmontese red, definitely versatile in the gastronomic field.
