Cascina Baricchi – Regina di Felicità Vino Moscato Spumante

Natale Simonetta, owner of Cascina Baricchi, loves his land and his job and he likes experimenting and putting himself in the game…his wines fully reflect his determination.
Cascina Baricchi is located under the town of Neviglie, few kilometers away from the Barbaresco area and it was born thanks to the purchase in the 70’s as a vacation home by Giovanni Simonetta, father of the current owner. Initially, wine was produced only for domestic use, but in the 1980s the first labels arrived on the market.
Natale mainly produces Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto…but there are also international grapes such as Pinot Noir or Syrah. Besides the classic single grape wines from Piedmont, Natale produces blended wines and above all it produces excellent sparkling wines with a long permanence on yeasts.
Moscato Spumante Regina di Felicità is produced with white Muscat grapes, harvested late in winter at night in order to have the bunches frozen as in Ice Wine. After the alcoholic fermentation of the frozen bunches, the wine undergoes a second refermentation in autoclave with charmat method. It presents itself as a sweet, lovable wine with a light fragrant bubble. Perfect to pair with sweet foods or aged cheeses. What a delight.
