Burzi Alberto – Barolo La Serra – 2019
In the early years there was an opportunity to have a small vineyard in another important Cru in La Morra, La Serra is considered an egregious expression of Barolo already noted in the past by producers such as Roberto Voerzio. It is located at an altitude of 400 meters and has sandy and loamy soils, here the Burzi winery has 0.5 hectares where in the early years it was decided to restore the planting with new plants and produce the first vintage only in 2019. The entire winemaking process is done in steel tanks on the skins for about 60 days, malolactic fermentation and aging on the other hand are done in 30 HL Stockinger Austrian oak barrels for 24 months before bottling. The intention was to make a wine that is very drinkable but solid in components, very fresh and with ample elegant aromas that has rigid structure and crisp tannins.

Description
Young and enterprising, Alberto Burzi belongs to a new generation of winemakers who have picked up the legacy of their predecessors. His story began in 2010 after graduating in oenology in Alba, when he decided to take the reins of the winery, renewing it in image and ideas by retracing his family roots. Located in the commune of La Morra, inside the heart of the prestigious Barolo area, the small property has 7 hectares divided into several parcels among which Capalot stands out, one of the most important Cru in the area, with vineyards ranging from 25 to 80 years of age. It immediately became known for its lively and innovative style that is based on the triune link cellar, vineyard and nature in which the utmost respect for the environment without the use of harmful elements prevails. Maniacal in detail with manual harvests and selection accompanied by modern techniques during vinification to achieve the highest quality imbued in terroir. Wines with stories to tell, with a powerful territorial imprint, multifaceted in elegance and innate fragrance. A true joy for wine lovers.
