Brezza – Barolo Sarmassa – 2019

Barolo Sarmassa, comes from the vineyard of the same name, located in the commune of Barolo bordering the village of La Morra where the soils are rich in sand and silt and layers of clay. The location of this vineyard is one of the most beautiful, a full south, so much so that it is considered by the elders to be one of the most beautiful areas for the quality of Barolos. Brezza winery interprets it in a super traditional style without covering the characteristics and aromas that gives this parcel. It is a very perfumed wine, with herbaceous and fruity hints, but with a balanced palate, fine but with delicate tannins and a long persistence. In short, a very pleasant wine to drink, but with a great capacity to age and be accompanied by a nice dinner.

Description

The Brezza winery is located in the center of the village of Barolo and was founded in 1885, but began bottling its own wine in 1910. Today we are in the fourth generation, but the size of the winery is still the same and it is absolutely family-run.
Their philosophy is to vinify each vineyard individually to enhance each soil type and to work in the vineyard and cellar cleanly, using no pesticides and only large barrels for aging, so much so that they have been certified organic for more than 20 years.
