Badalucco – Griddu Verde – 2018

The Badalucco winery was born from the union of two different cultures, a project that aims to produce wines that best represent their homeland, Sicily and Spain.
Beatriz De La Iglesia Garcia Spanish from Seville and Pierpaolo Badalucco Sicilian doc have decided to plant Spanish varieties next to Sicilian native grapes, an innovative idea, extreme but in which they have always believed in and when you put body and soul into a project, adding experience and technique you can only get an excellent result! The work in the vineyards and in the cellar follows a typically natural idea to produce wines that best express the characteristics of the grapes.

In 2008 a small seafront vineyard of Verdejo was planted, a Spanish grape that produces aromatic and herbaceous wines with a good aging potential. Beatriz thus decides to produce a wine from the blending of Verdejo and Grillo, a Sicilian grape from an old vineyard always facing the sea, a wonderfully Mediterranean white, a perfect balance between the fresh note of Verdejo and the salinity of Grillo, unique!
