Alberto Oggero – Roero Arneis – 2022

Arneis is the most typical native white of the Roero area, thanks to the poor soils rich in sand and fossils, ideal conditions are created for this grape, where sapidity and minerality are the main characteristics for this grape. In this case we find a slightly atypical example of Arneis, vinified with indigenous yeasts and part with the whole bunch, it continues with aging partly in steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels. In this way we find an Arneis much richer in aromas and mouthfeel, not neglecting the great freshness on the finish.

Description

Winemaker from another time, but a new generation. Alberto is a young boy in love with his land, the Roero. After studying at the Alba School of Oenology, he took over the vineyards from Nonno Sandro, a fundamental man who passed on to him all his knowledge and passion for this land and wines. His, are real bottles that reflect the sandy, lean soil of the Roero, are sold only when he deems them ready, quietly.
