Sukula – Barolo Meriame – 2016

From Finland with love, so we can start talking about the Sukula Farm, it was 2006 when Riikka and her husband Jyrki manage to buy a small vineyard with an attached farmhouse in the prestigious Meriame cru.
Currently, the property, in organic conversion, extends for about two hectares of vineyards exclusively with Nebbiolo and Barbera, where the work in the vineyard is meticulously carried out by husband and wife while in the cellar they rely on the oenological consultancy of Giorgio Rivetti.
The ideals pursued by Riikka are very simple, love and passion for the land, research and study to constantly improve and absolute respect for every single vine to ensure that it expresses itself at its best.

Barolo Meriame is born precisely from the prestigious cru in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, from soils rich in clay and limestone, plants facing west and south west at an altitude between 230 and 360 meters above sea level.
An extremely complex and structured wine that best reflects the terroir of origin, with a very long aging potential.
2016, one of those vintages to buy and stock up, few adjectives to describe it: exceptional, majestic, outstanding! What are you still waiting for ?!
