Scarpa – Barbera d’Asti La Bogliona – 2001
Speaking of Barbera d’Asti, we obviously cannot fail to mention Bogliona, the visiting card of the Scarpa winery, known internationally for its ability to maintain its characteristics for 10.20 and even more years.
The vineyards are located in the locality Bogliona from which the wine takes its name, where the soil is rich in sand and magnesium which gives the wine an extraordinary elegance but without lacking structure.
Before being bottled, for two years in a personalized design Burgundy, it ages which can last from 18 to 36 months in large oak barrels. A strong wine, sometimes a little austere but also sensual and with a long and soft finish.
