San Giusto a Rentennano – Per Carlo – 2016

San Giusto a Retennano was born in 1914 in the southernmost part of the Chianti Classico.
Today it boasts 31 hectares of organic vineyards where there is a super meticulous care of every little detail, starting from the vineyard where you have very low yields to then obtain wines with a good concentration and long aging potential.
The vineyards have privileged expositions with plants of about 50 years, the grapes grown are mainly Sangiovese and Canaiolo.
For Carlo it is the most important wine of the company, produced with 100% Sangiovese from 6 selected cru plots, less than 1 kilogram of grapes are harvested per plant and the refinement is carried out for 22 months in tonneaux followed by 18 months in bottle to obtain a wine of astounding complexity: intense, structured and soft tannins.
