Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons – Baroness Nadine – 2016
We are talking about the end of the 90s, when two families linked to the wine world decide to create Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons. Two different worlds, France and South Africa that come together to create wines with a unique and inimitable style. Rothschild a surname, a guarantee we know that we will drink a wine produced by the family par excellence in the wine world. While the oenological aspect is coordinated by Michel Rolland, a world-renowned winemaker. We are at the foot of Simonsberg Mountain where the soil is rich in granite debris, the intensity of winter rainfall combined with warmer summers are ideal for the vine. In the vineyards the yields are low and the grapes are harvested manually, the wines obtained best represent the prestige of these great producers never lacking in quality.
For the production of Chardonnay a meticulous work is carried out, the grapes are pressed in whole bunches and only the free-run must is used. A wine that can be appreciated for its refinement and personality, classic citrus aromas with a mineral part linked to the particular composition of the soils, in the mouth you will find it pleasantly fresh initially but with a nice softness on the finish.
