Rocche dei Manzoni – Barolo DOCG – 2015
Rocche dei Manzoni is a dynamic and always avant-garde winery located in Monforte in Langa. It was born thanks to Valentino Migliorini, already the owner of a starred restaurant, in the 1970’s he landed in Langa and bought a farmhouse right in Monforte d’Alba in the center of the Barolo production area. He was a pretty innovative figure, he was the first to produce classic method sparkling wines with the same grapes of Champagne in a land of reds and nebbiolo, and he was the first to bring and use French barriques for the aging of wines.
Over the years he managed to cultivate 50 hectares of vineyards all located in the commune of Monforte and divided in the best vineyards with the best exposure.
From the famous bubbles such as Riserva Elena and Brut zero, to the full and smooth Baroli, the wines of Rocche dei Manzoni winery have contributed to the renaissance history of Langhe wines and, above all, of quality.
Barolo Classico was the first Barolo to be produced by the winery in 1974, it still represents the showcase of the winery with its distinct roundness and opulence. For this wine, the winery uses the different estate vineyards of all the crus and carries out a 24 months aging in barrique. In this 2015 magnum you will find a perfect wine, mouthwatering and auster
