Raineri – Langhe Nebbiolo Snart – 2022
As fantastic Barolo producers they could not fail to be as good with a simple Nebbiolo, suitable for various times but showing great personality given the detailed work behind it. The vineyard is located in Monforte d’Alba at an elevation of 400 meters with very steep slopes, the 35-year age of the vines allows only low yields where thinning is done to increase quality, in addition the more clayey soils along with the southwest exposure allows for fine and appealing wines. Macerations of 10 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks including malolactic fermentation that lasts two months, after which aging takes several months in wooden barrels. Heady and mouthwatering as a wine, classic red fruit aromas with touches of spice accompany a firm but fresh sip with round tannins on the finish.

Description
The Raineri winery is a real gem, it can be called part of those new wave or garagiste projects, new, genuine, no-frills situations. The idea was born in 2005 thanks to the friendship born between Fabrizio Giraudo and Gianmatteo Raineri among the desks of the wine school. Enamored with wine, after some experience in Langa wineries, their dream came true with the creation of a few bottles of Dolcetto initially, eventually leading to the production of great wines such as Barolo in the town of Monforte. The road for the boys was by no means easy! Only after 10 years of hard work did the boys manage to find the perfect style and vinify their first Barolos from single vineyards by investing in two micro plots such as the cru of Perno and Castelletto. The style of the winery is dynamic, youthful but without forgetting tradition and respect for the land, taking care of every little detail and the work is done only by hand without the help of any technician. One of the best new discoveries of the last decade!
