Perrier-Jouët – Champagne Belle Epoque – 2008

We are talking about 1811 when Pierre Nicolas Perrier and Adèle Jouet founded the Maison, and from the very first bottling the name Perrier-Jouët began to make itself known and appreciated for the excellent quality of its Champagnes. The constant search for perfection led the couple to buy the best Grands Crus in the Cote des Blancs, and to avoid counterfeiting they were the first to insert the Cru and the vintage on the bottles. At the end of the nineteenth century it was one of the most prestigious and expensive labels in Champagne. Quality is always the top priority and there is no room for compromise. Perrier-Jouët bubbles are distinguished, in fact, by their floral character, absolute elegance and rare aromatic finesse where Chardonnay prevails. Today the Maison is owned by Pernod-Ricard 65 hectares of vineyards with the highest average in the Cru scale.
If we talk about the Maison Perrier-Jouët today we cannot fail to mention the great Chef de cavé Hervé Deschamps, he is a legend and his is not a simple job but a true art of assembly.
Cuvée Belle Epoque is the most classic and representative wine of the company, an assembly of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Meunier from the best Grands Crus. Each bottle gives us great emotions, the unmistakable floral part that has always belonged to the Maison accompanied by fragrant notes and a very pleasant and lush drink.
