Lopez de Heredia – Viña Tondonia – 2008
If you drink Rioja you absolutely must taste the wines of Lopez de Heredia.
Why?
First of all, let’s talk about one of the most historic wineries in Rioja and to be honest if you go to them it will seem like going back in time.
They work naturally, indigenous yeasts harvested from their vineyards and in the cellar there are no stainless steel containers but only wooden barrels.
Obviously when we talk about Lopez de Heredia the first thought goes to Viña Tondonia, the most important vineyard with older plants, the wines have great aging potential, 2008 is the last vintage on the market, despite its 13 years this wine will surprise you with its elegance and complexity.
