I Vigneri – Vino Rosso – 2019

“I Vigneri” is a project of winemakers led by renowned enologist Salvo Foti, to protect and produce Etna’s wines with the utmost respect for the territory while preserving the origins and traditions of Etna’s viticulture. The Vigneri movement was actually born in Catania in 1400 as a group of farmers, but the same philosophy was resumed about thirty years ago by the Foti family. They take care of only 5 hectares of vineyards, respecting nature, using and rediscovering autochthonous vineyards and even in the winery they do not use any technology. The purpose of this project is to produce and make known the real essence of Etna’s territory.
The red wine “I Vigneri” is produced with the whole of the different plots of Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio,Alicant grapes, it is fermented without temperature control in cement tanks. It is a fresh and fragrant wine that wants to exalt the true volcanic territory, perfect to drink at every occasion for its pleasantness.
