Giovanni Viberti – Dolcetto d’Alba Superiore – 2019

Giovanni Viberti one of the most historic wineries ever in the entire Barolo area, the company was actually born as an inn back in 1923, the wine was produced in the basement and then served to its guests, in 1927 the first vintage of the Buon Padre, the style is traditional, fermentation is still carried out in wooden vats and aging in large 50-hectolitre barrels. Today we have reached the third generation, 10 hectares cultivated with the utmost respect for the land, selecting the best grapes, thus reducing quantities and increasing quality. The fragrance, freshness and richness present in all its wines has always impressed us. Giovanni Viberti’s Dolcetto d’Alba represents the essence of Piedmontese daily red wine, the grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1991 in the locality of Vergne in super-optimal exposures. This is the true traditional wine, fresh, fragrant, classic vinous notes accompanied by a good structure and a pleasant concentration of fruit. It is the daily companion of the meal, which immediately takes you back to the beautiful Langa hills from the first sip.
