Giodo – La Quinta Toscana Igt – 2021

Rosso Toscana La Quinta, was born in 2011 with the aim of flanking the great Brunello.
Named after the “fifth” vineyard planted by Carlo Ferrini, solely Sangiovese grapes, it expresses itself as an elegant and more immediate wine. In this case the wine performs a shorter aging precisely to give more lightness and drinkability: 12 months of aging in 500-liter tonneaux and 2500-liter large barrels.

Description

Giodo was born thanks to the love of Sangiovese by Carlo Ferrini, recognized worldwide as one of Italy’s best winemakers. In 2002 he bought a hectare of vineyard in Montalcino, thus crowning his great passion for wine with a personal project. Nowadays Giodo cultivates only 6 hectares of Sangiovese grapes for Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso Toscana Igt. The style of the estate is to produce balanced and simple wines, sustainable agriculture is used, low yields, maximum selection of grapes, and aging in French barrels. In a nutshell, Giodo wines represent class!
