Gabriele Scaglione – Ellis Langhe Bianco – 2011
Gabriele Scaglione’s Langhe Bianco is the result of a careful selection of the best Chardonnay and Arneis grapes in the communes of Novello and Corneliano. Langhe and Roero are two worlds so close and so different, we have sandy and friable soils in Roero whereas in Langhe they are more clayey, the vineyards are located in excellent exposition, the yields per hectare are very low and the plants have an average age of about 20 years. The resulting wine is released only after many years of aging in order to surprise the consumer with its intense aroma and its important and generous structure.
