G.D. Vajra – Barolo Albe – 2016/2017
The company was founded in 1972, when Aldo Vaira decided not to sell the grapes anymore but to start making wine and producing wine with a mix of tradition and innovation. Today the company has 60 hectares but they still like to define themselves as a family farm accompanied by a young and dynamic team. Respect for the land and the deep bond to its origins have always accompanied the winery’s philosophy. All wines have common characteristics of elegance, complexity and delicacy.
Barolo Albe is born from the selection of the best grapes from three different crus, Fossati, Costa di Vergne and La Volta, three different terroirs that together give life to a wine that is unique for harmony and richness. A Barolo fruit of maniacal attention in the workings in the vineyard and in the cellar, will surprise you with its floral and balsamic notes, crunchy and flowing tannins, simplicity and drinkability. 2016, one of those vintages to buy and stock up, few adjectives to describe it: exceptional, majestic, outstanding! What are you still waiting for ?!
