Franco Conterno – Barbera d’Alba Superiore Bricco Torta – 2016
In the center of the Langhe, to be precise in Bussia, a hamlet of Monforte, Cascina Sciulun was born at the end of the 19th century, which has always been owned by the Conterno family who for years has been involved in the production of wines always following a philosophy focused on the balance between man and nature.
Today the company includes 28 hectares located in the best crus for the production of Barolo, the love for the land is applied in all phases, from the vineyard to the cellar where the wood deemed suitable is used for each type of grape.
Franco Conterno’s wines are distinguished by the great pleasure they can express from the first moment.
Barbera d’Alba Superiore is obtained from vineyards from Madonna di Como, in the municipality of Alba, where the soil is made of tuff and sand, the plants are more than 60 years old and 2016 was the first vintage on the market less of 3500 bottles. A fabulous, rich, sensual wine with an enveloping finish.
