Francesco Rinaldi e Figli – Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata – 2018
Barolo ” Rocche dell’Annunziata ” is produced for the first time in the secular history of Rinaldi winery in vintage 2018. This famous vineyard is located under the commune of La Morra and thanks to its south-facing amphitheatre-shaped exposure, it is one of the best vineyards of the whole Barolo appellation. Before this vintage the grapes of this vineyard were used for the production of Barolo Classico, but thanks to the old age of the vines, the winery decided to separate this cru giving very good results. This vineyard is famous not only for the splendid position where it is possible to produce 100% Nebbiolo for Barolo, but also for the white soils, rich in limestone, sand and silt, giving wines inebriating aromas, longevity, acidity and freshness as well as sweeter tannins.

Description
One of those wineries that best represents the territory of Langa, born in 1870, they put on the market the first bottle of Barolo in 1906!
It is fantastic to enter their winery which is located on the famous Cannubi hill and still breathe that ancient scent, here they use only big casks, as Piedmontese tradition requires, fermentations are long and wines are never bottled before August.
They have vineyards in the communes of La Morra, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto where there are very different soils and the winery is able to produce wines which represent the best of the territory.
